Comprehensive Planning

The Regional Development Center's planning staff assist our member jurisdictions with their comprehensive planning needs. Under the Georgia Planning Act, all county and city jurisdictions in the state are required to update their comprehensive plans every 10 years in order to access grant opportunities from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. Additionally, five-year Short-Term Work Program Updates are required to ensure that comprehensive planning initiatives remain up-to-date.
